Dual curriculum at the HAW Hamburg

Our first year of „dual students“ at the University of Applied Science (HAW) in Hamburg started on 1 September 2018. Tobias Schmegel, formerly an IT trainee in application development, is beginning his studies of Applied IT in pre-course math. The practice stages will be overseen by Dr. Lahde. Maren Heitmann, technical product designer, and Alexander Sänger, industrial mechanic, are start­ing their studies of mechanical engineering with the focus on development and design. Due to construction work on campus, lectures in mechan­i­cal engineering will begin at the end of September. Until then our students will go through the practi­cal phase related to their studies, organized by their mentor Mr. Klee, in Product Technologies and the test laboratory. We wish them all a good start at university and lots of success in their stud­ies!
