Mürmann – Compression and tension rods for the castle cupola

Germany’s biggest cultural building project is making good progress. Thanks to generous donations the cupola of the Berliner Schloss (Berlin Castle) is being restored along historical lines with a lantern and a gold-plated cross. The cupola represents the crowning conclusion of the reconstruction of the Berlin Castle. The maintenance platforms arranged over three levels inside the cupola are supported by m.connect compression and tension rods connecting the platforms with the steel primary construction of the cupola. With the planned official opening of the Berlin Castle at the end of 2019 the historic center of Berlin will be completed and the Castle, with its classical architecture will once again be the most prominent building in the city.
