In the framework of a major public transport project, a new rail station is currently being constructed in Pfaffenthal, just outside the city of Luxemburg. It will connect with the business center of Kirchberg, which is located some 40 m higher, via two funicular railways. Numerous banks, European institutions and administrative bodies such as the European Court are located here. These cable cars can transport up to 168 passengers at a time by shuttle. By way of elevators at the front of the station, the different levels can be easily reached without barriers. The elevator shafts are stabilized by m.connect tension and compression rods.
