The Direct Sales department has had a successful start to 2016 with a major order of over €10m. After intensive sales efforts, the German plant constructor Siemens in Erlangen was persuaded to award practically the entire support package for the Beni Suef, Burullus and New Capital projects to LISEGA. Siemens is the main contractor in the construction of a total of 12 combined cycle gas power plants with a total capacity of 13 GW at the above three locations in Egypt.
“We had to beat tough competition to win the contract. It has been shown once again that our competence and our capacity to reliably process major international projects in a very short time proved to be a crucial differentiating factor for customers like Siemens”, said Dr. Michael Weinrauch. The order will be supplied by middle of 2017 and will make an important contribution to the utilisation of capacity at the Zeven plant in 2016.
