With an eye on the FIS Ski Jump World Championship that took place in January, the Heini Klopfer ski jump near Oberstdorf in Germany has been thoroughly updated in the last one and a half years. The spectacular architecture, with the 72 m-high freely suspended start tower, is world-famous and regarded as a structural masterpiece. In the new construction of the jump-off platform m.connect tension rod systems were used for the horizontal bracing and the vertical trusses of the platform supports. The ski jump record of 238 m was equaled by the new Olympic champion Andreas Wellinger.
